Guardian Corps-person! By clicking on this board it is apparent that you have interest in becoming a Pretty Guardian or Manly Guardian, a leader in and representative of this Free Company! Before you embark on this epic quest and take part in this tasking trials, I want to wish you good luck, and take all the time you need!

In order for you to advance, you must create your own thread in this section following the following format:

Message body: Just create any silly opener you wish. Catch phrase, declaration of war, etc. Along the lines of Usagi's Sailor Moon introductions (or any senshi's) would be hilarious XD. Really, though, the opening post is to just keep track of who is who and what you want and stuff. !! Oh! And include somewhere whether you're wanting to be a Pretty Guardian or Manly Guardian (they are the same in all except name)

Within that thread you will be tracking your progress as you make your way through the trails of becoming a Pretty (or Manly) Guardian. Make a new post for each trial (mirror the order below for posts, but tackle any trial in any order!) and include the appropriate materials/data/proof/etc in that post for that trial.

There are Five Trials to becoming a Pretty Guardian. Tackle these trials in any order, but here is the general info:

You must follow all outlined stipulations as to who needs to be there for the event to count!
Pics or it didn't happen! If you play on a PS3 or 4 and can't easily access your screenshots, ask someone else taking part in your trial to take the needed shots for you!
You may go through this trial with others! Grab another Guardian Corps member and work on it together!
Generally, each trial must be done with 2 PGSM Officers or Pretty/Manly Guardians; we request an officer there, but if timing is crappy two PG or MG's will work! ((Either way, two peeps must be there for most trials!))

Trial One:

Holiday Challenge

Prerequisites:

Have Duty Roulette Hard Mode Opened* if you don't have it opened yet, yell at us! We'll go through all of them with you! (because we love you, not for the tome bonus. ... but I mean the tome bonus doesn't hurt XD ♥ ♥ ♥) **Why hard mode? In hard mode people can still have ilvls above the dungeon requirement, making it easy to compensate for the next prerequisite. If we did this with normal storyline dungeons it could lead to more misery ^^' ALSO people can go in as a pre-formed group and still have the dungeon be randomized.
Have a holiday costume. It doesn't have to be a specific holiday - just so long as it is a full costume. Tops/bottoms/boots/hat, whatever space the whole ensemble takes up. If you do not have a holiday costume, a bathing suit will work in a pinch. Holiday Costumes include: Valentine's Day, Summer Festival, Halloween, Christmas; any year works.

Preparing for the Challenge:

Required Members: 4 Pretty Guardians: 1 Officer + 1 Officer/PG/MG. (last member can be of any PGSM rank)
Required Outfit for all participants: Holiday outfit, unglamoured. Weapon, accessories, and non-holiday-costume armor can be normal ilvl 50+ gear.

The Challenge:

Complete a Duty Roulette Hard Mode Dungeon (or a Hard Mode Primal) with a pack of Pretties all wearing holiday outfits.

Options: If someone (not you!) needs a specific Hard Mode Dungeon for storyline purposes, your group may do that dungeon instead of Hard Mode Roulette.

Trial Two:

WHAT'S HAPPENING?!

Prerequisites:

Time and an Officer.
Officer will be randomly choosing the dungeon from storyline dungeons.

Preparing for the Challenge:

Required Members: 4 Pretty Guardians: 1 Officer + 1 Officer/PG/MG. (last member can be of any PGSM rank). Make officer party leader.
Screenshot abilities / "official screenshotter"
Headset with mic + Skype online, everyone connected.

The Challenge:

Complete a Duty Roulette Hard Mode Dungeon (or a Hard Mode Primal) with a pack of Pretties with everyone in first person mode throughout the entire dungeon.

Screenshot of each boss fight (taken, of course, in your permanent first person mode)

Trial Three:

P-G-S-M

Prerequisites:

None!

Preparing for the Challenge:

Be Active! Be Around! Be in the thick of things!
If you see any random house parties going on... get there asap.
You cannot 'request' an event happen! You can try to provoke it, but no direct asking! (example: if the square is "witness Kyra being a cruel mistress", you cannot send me a tell saying "Hey Kyra! Can I get a pic of you looking angry at Adelpha?" ... however, you are able to provoke it. Say we're in the hot tub; you could turn to Adelpha and attempt to provoke the action, "Hey, Adelpha, I hear your harem is twenty times better than Kyra's, and I agree~")

The Challenge:

Get a PGSM! (Bingo!) on your PGSM Shenanigans Card!

That's four in a row, column, or diagonal on your card.

Your card will be uploaded to your thread by an officer when you make the post for it.

Documentation in your Thread: Heavy Documentation for this Trial!

Pics or it didn't happen. For each square you cross off, you need a screenshot of the event! If it is a text/conversation square, screenshot with the text box viewable! (don't hide your HUD for the shot).
Include all screenshots below your card; you can keep uploading your card with the squares crossed off. If you collect more squares than you need, you can totally post them anyway XD

Trial Four:

Walkthrough Challenge

Prerequisites:

Know a specific dungeon inside and out.
Block out some time. =)

Preparing for the Challenge:

Required Members: 1 Officer + 1 Officer/PG/MG. Entire party of Pretty Guardians welcomed, but not necessary for this challenge.
Optional/Awesome: A member who has yet to do the dungeon you've been studying.

The Challenge:

Complete a Storyline Duty while providing hints, tips, and tricks that would benefit a new party member.

Explain boss mechanics
Know where the worthwhile treasure chests are (worthwhile meaning gear and well-selling goods)
Provide constructive feedback if party members seem a little over their heads - making suggestions to gameplay in a polite and helpful way, suggesting strategies, etc. The officer may enter as a "newbie" to give you someone to practice on.

Completed Trials!

Once you have completed and documented all five trials, there is only one obstacle left in your way:

Scheduling a Pretty Guardian: Rank Up! ceremony.

And the only tough thing there is probably having to wait for a weekend XD

We should all be checking in on your progress throughout the trials, but if you have completed all five trials and you don't get congratulations and a planning thread for your ceremony, please contact Sinaka, Cae, or Adelpha to get us on that asap!

If you actively keep us in the loop (through skype or in game), we can also set aside special times in our themed days for you to work a Trial in, and schedule it in to our forum calendar. ^^

All sound like fun for the most part, but will there be a replacement trial for the bingo trail for those that aren't/can't be on when everyone else is? Just wondering not all of us can be on at the same time and i think it might come up.

What we'd like to emphasize is hanging out together as we're a social FC XD The bingo trial doesn't have to happen all in one go or anything like that! Over weeks is what I was thinking - this Pretty Guardian transformation isn't a weekend ordeal XD While working on the other trials we're bound to be hanging out preparing and stuff, and that'd be an ideal time to collect the bingo pieces. There will also be bingo pieces that doesn't require hanging out together - like starting a shouting song duet with a stranger and stuff like that.

If after two weeks of actively trying someone hasn't been able to scratch off a bingo piece we can look at an alternative trial for that person.
